by far the best Shawarma I have had in and around this city since moving here from Montreal six years ago. I used to head back to MONTREAL when I wanted a good Shawarma. Now I cut my travel time and I will only need to go to Kempville.!! The chicken was so incredibly moist yet had that amazing char on the outside. The beef was also incredibly tender and marinated to perfection. JJ‘s hummus was out of this world. None of that grainy tasty chalk that you get in so many Lebanese restaurants in this town. This thing was silky, smooth, and creamy the way it’s supposed to be. JJ seems to know Every patron that comes in to his place because he greets everybody with his incredible smile and good nature
I just had the BEST shawarma of my life at this spot! The food was beyond delicious – perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell everything is made with love and care. The owner is an absolute sweetheart, so kind and welcoming – it made the whole experience even better. This place is truly a hidden gem. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out!

Hands down one of, if not the best shawarma we have had in eastern Ontario. Great spice and cook on juicy chicken, a sweet creamy garlic paste, awesome hummus and a great staff to boot. The owner served people personally and with personality which is such a welcome sight. I won't just be going back soon. I already planned a day to get another family platter. Keep up the good work and thank you for putting a great restaurant on the map for us to enjoy.
Absolutely delicious and large portions with fresh ingredients. We both got chicken shawarma wrap - one regular and one large. The large was HUGE. Potatoes and garlic were delicious and they had good drink options. Service was awesome - great group of gentlemen with good chemistry between them which made the customer service experience pleasant and justified the quality of the food served. This will absolutely be a regular stop for me when traveling to Ottawa!
Accessible, affordable, plenty of selection and very friendly. I would go again. We had beef shawarma and garlic potatoes. It tasted good, fresh and flavourful. I thought it was salty but my partner thought it was fine. They also have meat and cheese pie and baklava. The portions were generous, well wrapped but not overly packaged and hot. There is lots of seating. The front door has an actuator for automated opening but the button outside was ripped out. They have high chairs. The women's toilet is large and has accessible features but not hands free locking, soap, water or door activator. The men's toilet is small. You can see into the kitchen. It was clean. The food counter looked fresh and well maintained.
Our first visit to JJ's and it didn't disappoint, The Boss Man himself checked in on as we ate and made sure to greet everyone who came in while we there eating. Big order to small order JJ and his staff were super friendly and enagaing with everyone, as mentioned JJ and the two other gentlemen asked us how were liked it. Clearly they know their customer base and recognized us as first time visitors, made to that we were enjoying it. As my son is on a Shawarma journey to eat Shawarma in every place we go to if one is available JJ's didn't disappoint him or myself. Thank you again Chef JJ for the hospitality and excellent food and experience within your resturant.
Had a great experience at this local shawarma spot with my mom! The place was super clean, and the service was top-notch. JJ, the owner, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell they care about their customers. Definitely coming back!
